January 16, 2019. Join us as Richard Reich chronicles a novel approach to mitigating climate change through hands-on personal action to directly improve forest health and carbon sequestration by forests. We'll review the post-treatment results - 18 years of monitoring forest health and stocking. This is one of Richards favorite projects and has given him hope that personal action and becoming informed may be one of the best ways to combat climate change.
Every August, the Rivershed Society of British Columbia invites 10 emerging water leaders to embark on a 26-day journey on the Fraser River, from headwaters to sea. As participants on the 2018 journey, Riley and Ella will recount their impressions of the Fraser River, including their experience of the interconnectedness of the Fraser's health, and the group's physical and mental well-being along the way.
